Giving Children and Young People a Relationship
to the Living Divine Reality, and Serving Their Growth by Stages
Every parent wants to give their child the best possible start in life; and teachers, guides, and mentors do too! Avatar Adi Da provides invaluable and unique help for that impulse. He calls His approach “conscious childrearing”, which is based on several key principles:

Everyone needs a direct relationship with the Divine
Children are involved in a Spiritual struggle, working out a Spiritual “problem”—at their own rudimentary, or early--life, stage of development. Therefore, children must learn to live
from a Spiritual disposition, in the real manner that is possible for them at their stage of development. They must learn to live ecstatically, in devotional Communion with the Divine Mystery of existence.

Children can, and should, enjoy a feeling, breathing relationship with That Divine Mystery. They must learn to recognize the Happiness That is felt in relationship to the
Divine Mystery, and they must understand that such
Happiness is, fundamentally, what existence is all about. Through that, they will acquire the strength for confronting
the limitations of their circumstances. Children should be
established in this positive awareness, and be practicing ecstasy, practicing ego-transcending Happiness. Therefore,
you must give children the gift of a fundamental disposition
of ego-transcending Happiness that is as native to them as feeling and breathing—a Happy understanding of the Mystery of life.
We develop humanly in specific stages
In our earliest time of life, our awareness expands in very specific stages of development—and new capabilities for participating in life and with the Divine Reality emerge. It is a creative challenge to help children adapt to those new abilities fully and responsibly—and to demonstrate right adaptation as adults too. At every age, to be truly happy, we must be responsibly and intelligently alive in relationship with Reality in all the dimensions of life—humanly, spiritually, and altogether.
Avatar Adi Da has described the stages of human growth and spiritual realization in a schema, which He calls “the seven stages of life”, Adi Da details exactly what each stage involves—from the time we are born, through human maturity, and also in all possible dimensions of spiritual realization beyond that maturity. Avatar Adi Da is the first and only one to reveal the fullness of the seventh stage—and the light of His seventh stage realization shines through the unique guidance He offers for those in the early-life developmental stages.
The Vision of Mulund Institute programs focus on Avatar Adi Da’s teachings for what He calls “the first three stages of life”. Since every one of us goes through the first three stages of life, Adi Da’s detailed instruction about them is an invaluable tool—for children of all ages, for the adults who serve children, and for adults who want to keep maturing themselves.
Avatar Adi Da offers His Blessing as the ultimate Help
The powerful secret at the heart of all of Avatar Adi Da’s instruction is this: He openly offers a devotional relationship as the means by which everyone can feel, and breathe, and even be alive as the Divine Mystery, or Reality Itself.
Avatar Adi Da expresses the simplicity of how this works when He says to children:
Even all My friends can easily always forever remember and feel and breathe and love and Be the Mystery—if only they remember Me, and feel Me, and breathe Me, and love Me. . .

Now, and forever hereafter, those who truly and completely remember only Me will find it easy to remember to Be the Mystery— because I Am the Mystery Itself.

And I Am even Shown As a Man here—so that it will always be easy for you to remember Me—Always Already “Bright” and here, for one and all and All—forever.

The Vision of Mulund Institute is dedicated to helping children, and the adults who serve them, participate in the blessings that flow from the sacred relationship to Avatar Adi Da. And we offer programs to help you discover how following Adi Da’s instruction can foster both spiritual and human well-being in your own case, and that of your child.
